Create a new IFTTT Applet that uses a Maker Webhook trigger to send yourself an email. Type some witty reminder to yourself in the email subject and body.

Create a circuit that ties a button to one of the ESP8266's pins. Note that some of the pins on the ESP8266 have special reserved functions and cannot be used with INPUT_PULLUP (e.g. pin 15 is always pulled low). To learn more about the ESP8266's special pins, see this page.

Run the code below on the ESP8266 (don't forget to change the ssid, password, IFTTT trigger name, and IFTTT key).
